Viral Picture Of Padlock On Grave Not From Pak: A Fact Check

A fact-check has indicated that an agency report about parents putting padlocks on graves of their daughters in Pakistan to save them from a rising spate of necrophilia was incorrect. Many news sites, including NDTV, ran the report of news agency ANI that has been fact-checked by AltNews. NDTV had sent a mail to ANI late this evening. A response is awaited.

The report of ANI was based on Daily Times article, and a viral tweet by Harris Sultan, an ex-Muslim atheist activist and the author of the book "The Curse of God, why I left Islam".

In the tweet, he had shared photos of a padlocked grave and accused Pakistan of creating a "sexually frustrated society", where "people are now putting padlocks on the graves of their daughters to prevent them from getting raped".

AltNews fact checker Mohammed Zubair tweeted that the photograph in question, showing a green painted  grille, was from Hyderabad. The reason grilles are used is to stop people from burying bodies over the old graves without permission, he tweeted quoting locals.

The grave was that of an old woman, whose son had installed the grille. It was also meant to stop people from stepping on the grave since it was near a doorway, he tweeted.

After the fact-check by AltNews, Harris Sultan said he was deleting his earlier tweet.

The ANI report mentioned that women's bodies were said to have been unearthed and desecrated on several occasions. A necrophilia case was reported in Pakistan in 2011 when a grave keeper named Muhammad Rizwan from North Nazimabad, Karachi was arrested after he confessed to raping 48 female corpses.

UK's Rishi Sunak To Recite Bible Verse At King Charles' Coronation

Rishi Sunak will read from the biblical book of Colossians at the Coronation of King Charles III in keeping with the recent tradition of British Prime Ministers giving readings at State occasions, the office of the Archbishop of Canterbury revealed as part of the official Liturgy for the religious ceremony at Westminster Abbey here on May 6.

Rishi Sunak, Britain's first Prime Minister of Indian heritage and a practicing Hindu, reading from a biblical book will resonate with the multi-faith theme being struck for the Christian ceremony.

Lambeth Palace, the office of the Archbishop of Canterbury - Reverend Justin Welby, said that members of other faith traditions will play an active role in the service for the first time.

"The Archbishop of Canterbury has selected a new Epistle for this Coronation, which will be Colossians 1:9-17. This passage has been chosen to reflect the theme of service to others, and the loving rule of Christ over all people and all things, which runs through this Coronation Liturgy," Lambeth Palace said.

"Following recent tradition of British Prime Ministers giving readings at State occasions - as Head of the host Nation's government - this will be read by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak," it said.

By longstanding tradition, the Archbishop of Canterbury authorises a new Liturgy - or the form according to which a public religious worship takes place - for every Coronation. The three oaths the King at the heart of the service remain unchanged, including the promise to maintain "the Protestant Reformed Religion".

The overall theme of the Liturgy is "Called to Serve", which is intended to reflect the commitment that the King will make to serve God and the people of the United Kingdom.

"I am delighted that the service will recognise and celebrate tradition, speaking to the great history of our nation, our customs, and those who came before us. At the same time, the service contains new elements that reflect the diversity of our contemporary society," said Welby.

His office said the service has been designed to reflect the changes in the UK since Charles' mother Queen Elizabeth II's Coronation in 1953, the character of Britain as it is today, and the Church of England's role in contemporary society. As one of the newer elements, the 74-year-old monarch will pray aloud in the Abbey using words specially written for the occasion that reflect the "duty and privilege of the Sovereign to serve all communities".

Lambeth Palace confirmed that the Presentation of the Regalia will be made by Members of the House of Lords and for the first time, some of the items which have no Christian meaning or symbolism will be presented by peers who belong to different faith traditions: Judaism, Islam, Hinduism and Sikhism.

Buckingham Palace had previously confirmed that Lord Narendra Babubhai Patel, 84, will represent the Hindu faith and hand over the Sovereign's Ring to Charles. While Lord Indrajit Singh, 90, will represent the Sikh faith and present the Coronation Glove, Lord Syed Kamall, 56, of Indo-Guyanese heritage, will represent the Muslim faith and present the Armills or a pair of bracelets.

"At the end of the procession at the close of the service, before His Majesty proceeds to the Gold State Coach, the King will receive and acknowledge a spoken greeting delivered in unison by Representatives from Jewish, Hindu, Sikh, Muslim and Buddhist communities," Lambeth Palace said.

The thousands congregated at the Abbey and millions expected to be watching on screens as the ceremony is telecast live will be invited to say the words: "I swear that I will pay true allegiance to Your Majesty, and to your heirs and successors according to law - so help me God".

The five elements of the historic "English Coronation Rite" will take place in their traditional order: The Recognition; The Oath; The Anointing; The Investiture and Crowning; and The Enthronement and Homage.

These elements will take place within the traditional structure of a service of Holy Communion, including prayers and Bible readings, and King Charles and Queen Camilla will receive Holy Communion during the service.

"India Tries To Ensure Ties Across The World, Except With...": S Jaishankar

Foreign minister S Jaishankar has said each of India's engagements has its own particular weight and focus, be it with United States, Europe, Russia or Japan, India is trying to ensure that all ties advance without seeking exclusivity. China, however, falls into a different category, Mr Jaishankar said in his address at the MIREX, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic, where he was on a visit from April 27 to 29.

At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic, Mr Jaishankar said: "For the first time in 2015, Prime Minister Narendra Modi articulated a comprehensive view that spanned the entirety of the Indian Ocean and its Islands. These subsequently became the building blocks for the Indo-Pacific vision that emerged thereafter. To the north, India has been similarly pursuing a strategy of connecting to Central Asia more effectively and this has taken the form of structured engagements across multiple domains".

"These concentric circles of priority give you a conceptual sense of Indian diplomacy and one that we have pursued very assiduously over the last decade. But at a higher level, we are also practising the approach of engaging all significant centres of power, such multi-alignment reflects the reality of multi-polarity," he added.

Mr Jaishankar said each engagement has its own particular weight and focus.

"Whether it is the United States, Europe, Russia or Japan, we are trying to ensure that all ties, all these ties advance without seeking exclusivity," Jaishankar said without mentioning China.

But further, Mr Jaishankar added, "China falls into a somewhat different category because of the boundary dispute and the currently abnormal nature of our ties".

Making India's stand clear about China's activities at the Line of Actual Control, Mr Jaishankar said that is "an outcome of a violation of agreements regarding border management by them".

"The rise of China and India in a parallel time frame is also not without its competitive aspects," he added.

The minister said India's most pressing priorities are obviously in its neighbourhood. Given India's size and economic strength, it is very much for the collective benefit that India takes a generous and non-reciprocal approach to cooperation with smaller neighbours.

"And that's exactly what we have done in the last decade under Prime Minister Modi and this in our region has come to be known as the Neighborhood First Policy," Mr Jaishankar said.

India has seen a dramatic expansion in connectivity, contacts, in cooperation across the region.

"The exception to this of course is Pakistan in view of the cross-border terrorism that it supports. But whether it is the Covid challenge or more recent debt pressures, India has always stepped up for its neighbours," Mr Jaishankar said.

India has extended more than USD 4 billion of notable economic support to Sri Lanka.

"Beyond South Asia, India is developing the concept of extended neighbourhoods, extended neighbourhoods in all directions, with the ASEAN this has taken the form of what we call the Act East Policy, which has opened up a pathway to a deeper engagement with the Indo-Pacific that is being pursued amongst others, through a mechanism called the Quad," Mr Jaishankar said on the expansion of India's ties.

He also said towards the West, there has been a perceptible "intensification" of India's relationship with the Gulf and the Middle East. One reflection of that is a new grouping called I2U2, comprising India, Israel, UAE and the USA. These two regions on either side have emerged as major trade and investment hubs for India, he added.

About 8 million Indians live and work in the Gulf but the relationship is much more than economic, it encompasses security, technology and strong people-to-people ties. To the South, the outlook that shapes India's thinking goes by the acronym of SAGAR, which is an Indian word for oceans.

Videos Show Destruction Caused By Powerful Tornado In Florida

A powerful tornado flipped cars, uprooted trees and destroyed buildings as severe weather ripped through Florida, US, on Saturday. Several horrifying videos shared on social media captured the devastation caused by the strong twister.

One viral video showed cars stacked onto one another in an open parking lot and damaged buildings, including one with its facade ripped off and another with a falling gutter.

Another clip captured the moment a small vehicle was dramatically tossed into the air after the wind caught it, rolling it several times to the surprise of others on the highway. The video, shot from within another car, even showed debris swirling around in the street as cars are pushed by the powerful gusts.

Other footage showed the aftermath of the tornado passing through communities. "Florida | Another video of tornado damage in Palm Beach area," the caption of the Twitter post read.

According to the New York Post, the National Weather Service confirmed the tornado touched down in the city. In a tweet, the agency said, "We are currently in the process of surveying damage along the path of the tornado and will release more information once our survey is completed."

In follow-up tweets, the weather page said a Tornado Watch would be in place for Sunday for much of Florida. "Another active weather day is expected in SFL with strong winds, hail, and even a few tornadoes possible. Main timing for activity would be sunrise-mid morning for NW areas, and late morning-early afternoon for the east coast," the weather service said.

Around 12 million people across the state have been placed under a level 2 risk for severe weather.

As per the outlet, the thunderstorms were travelling across the Gulf of Mexico from Texas, which was hit with hail and powerful winds on Thursday. Officials said that the peninsula could also be in for damaging winds, tornadoes, large hail and heavy rainfall through Saturday night.

Watch: Babar Azam's Reaction After Successful Review Sparks Meme Fest

Daryl Mitchell hit a second successive century while Tom Latham missed a ton by two runs as New Zealand piled up 336-5 in the second one-day international against Pakistan in Rawalpindi on Saturday. The stylish one-drop batter improved on his 113 in the first ODI on Thursday with 129 for 119 balls, and was ably supported by Latham (98) and Chad Bowes (51) after New Zealand were sent in to bat by Pakistan. Mitchell smashed three sixes and eight boundaries and consolidated the innings through a third-wicket stand of 183 with skipper Latham, as the pair took full advantage of a flat pitch.

Mitchell was finally caught brilliantly by Mohammad Nawaz off pacer Naseem Shah in the 46th over, while Latham was caught behind off Haris Rauf an over later.

It was Naseem who gave Mitchell an extra life four short of his hundred when he dropped a simple catch off spinner Usama Mir at mid-on.

That allowed Mitchell to complete his hundred off 102 balls -- his third in his ODI career.

Latham knocked eight boundaries and a six off 85 balls.

Bowes and Will Young gave New Zealand a 33-run start before pacer Rauf had Young caught behind for 19 in the sixth over.

Bowes, who hit seven boundaries in his maiden ODI half century, steadied the innings with Mitchell as the pair added 86 for the second wicket.

It was Rauf again who broke the stand when he trapped Bowes leg before wicket in the 19th over.

Rauf was the pick of bowlers with 4-78.

Pakistan lead the five-match series 1-0 after winning the first match by five wickets, also in Rawalpindi.

"Surprise" Moment For India's 'Titanium Man' Who Sailed Around The Globe

Commander Abhilash Tomy (retired), who is one of only two people to complete the world's toughest solo sailing race, had a pleasant surprise while talking to NDTV today. His wife, Urmimala, came on air while he was talking about his experience in participating in the Golden Globe Race 2022.

Commander Tomy said he hasn't seen her in a long time. "The last time we saw each other was when I was in Australia, Tasmania, on a video call," he said, and broke into a smile.

"Thank you so much for doing this," Urmimala told NDTV.

Her husband, who is in France, replied, "Urmimala the name means a string of ocean waves."

The retired Navy Commander finished the non-stop circumnavigation of the globe in a small boat without any electronic aid, after South African sailor Kirsten Neuschafer at 1:30 PM IST in Les Sables d'Olonne, France, today.

Commander Tomy credited his wife for encouraging him to follow his passion, when, according to him, it would have been easy for her to simply ask him to stop going out to the sea after an incident in 2018 that nearly ended his sailing career.

"The thing is it was very easy for Urmi to tell me enough, focus on your family, don't get into this madness again. That's standard, easy. Any Indian woman would have done that. But I think I'm incredibly lucky."

Commander Tomy had to overcome a serious injury five years ago. In 2018, while participating in the same race, he was caught in a violent storm in the Indian Ocean that struck his boat and left him with a broken spine.

In January 2019, Commander Abhilash Tomy quit the Indian Navy to pursue his dream of giving the Golden Globe Race a second shot. It was his life's mission.

"The completion of this race has lifted off a weight from me," he told NDTV today.

He had been on the boat for 236 days. "The boat is a part of my life now. In those days, I kind of repaired many parts of the boat. The mast, the steering, the batteries... I have left a signature on the boat," he said.

It was not an easy ride. He faced dangerous situations from "knockdowns" to severe storms.

Explaining what a "knockdown" is, Commander Tomy said it is a situation when the boat is tilted to such an extreme angle that the mast comes under water and returns. "Technically, it is called a knockdown. But in a small boat it can be called capsize," he told NDTV. "Imagine you live in a house and somebody takes it and shakes it. Inside the boat, the diesel, charts, kitchen, everything flies. Everything is a mess," he said.

He had to use the door handle of the boat's bathroom as a part replacement for a rudimentary self-steering autopilot. "... I ripped off the toilet door and made it a part of the rudder plate of the self-steering system. I also had to remove the anchor and use a part of it in this rudder system," Commander Tomy said, detailing the improvisations he made as the boat started giving up bit by bit during the long, strenuous race. He managed to sail 10,000 miles with this incredible set-up.

"On 26 January, when I wanted to hoist the national flag, a sudden storm not predicted in any of the weather models came and kept building up. I had waves which were at least eight meters high. Two ropes of the self-steering tiller slipped out. I ended up steering the boat continuously for 12 hours. Day turned into night. I couldn't go inside the cabin to turn on the navigation light, see the charts," he said.

The race started on September 4, 2022, from Les Sables-d'Olonne in France, with 16 sailors from 11 countries. Only two of them managed to complete the gruelling challenge while sailing non-stop. This tested their physical and mental stamina to the limit.

The only other finisher so far has been the sailor Simon Curwen, who had been forced to make stops to address problems with his boat, unlike Abhilash Tomy and Kirsten Neuschafer who completed the race non-stop. On account of having to make stops, Mr Curwen was not granted a podium finish.

"It All Went South": Jack Dorsey Criticises Musk Over Twitter Leadership

Almost a year after stating that Elon Musk is the "singular solution" he trusts to run Twitter, Jack Dorsey seems to have changed his stance on Mr Musk's leadership of the microblogging website. On Friday, the former CEO of Twitter issued his sharpest criticism yet of Mr Musk's leadership of Twitter, saying that the tech billionaire has not proved to be the platform's ideal steward and should have walked away from buying the site.

Mr Dorsey criticised Mr Musk in a series of reply posts on the social network Bluesky, a potential Twitter rival that Mr Dorsey helped to start. According to The Washinton Post, he responded to a question from a Bluesky user regarding whether he felt that Mr Musk proved the "best possible steward".

"No. Nor do I think he acted right after realizing his timing was bad. Nor do I think the board should have forced the sale. It all went south. But it happened and all we can do now is build something to avoid that ever happening again. So I'm happy Jay and team and nostr devs exist and building it," Mr Dorsey said.

According to Fortune, in another post, Mr Dorsey also stated that Mr Musk should have walked away by paying 1 billion dollars to the board. "If Elon or anyone wanted to buy the company, all they had to do was name a price that the board felt was better than what the company could do independently. This is true for every public company. Was I optimistic? Yes. Did I have final say? No. I think he should have walked away and paid the $1b," he stated.

Further, responding to a post in which a user said, "It's pretty sad how it all went down," Mr Dorsey replied simply: "Yes".

Notably, it was not long ago when Mr Dorsey had said that if Twitter had to be a company at all, "Elon is the singular solution I trust".

"In principle, I don't believe anyone should own or run Twitter. It wants to be a public good at a protocol level, not a company. Solving for the problem of it being a company however, Elon is the singular solution I trust. I trust his mission to extend the light of consciousness," he tweeted in 2022 before Mr Musk's Twitter acquisition had come to fruition.

"Hard Work Has Paid Off," Says Gangubai Kathiawadi Director After Big Win

Director and producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film Gangubai Kathiawadi starring Alia Bhatt in the lead role bagged a whopping 10 trophies at the 68th Filmfare award on Thursday.

2 Cases Filed Against Wrestling Body Chief After Supreme Court Intervention

The Delhi Police have filed two cases against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh after the country's top wrestlers made allegations of sexual harassment against him.

The Delhi Police, which functions under Amit Shah's Home Ministry, filed the two first information reports (FIRs) hours after the Supreme Court ordered them to do so, amid protests at Delhi's Jantar Mantar by wrestlers including Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik and Vinesh Phogat.

One of the FIRs is over a complaint of sexual harassment by a minor, filed under the stringent Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, which gives no scope for bail.

The Delhi Police will pursue the case actively, sources said.

Mr Singh, who is also a BJP MP, welcomed the Supreme Court's order to file the police case into allegations of sexual harassment against him.

Mr Singh told reporters the wrestlers should have waited for the report of a committee that was tasked to look into the matter before they decided to sit on a protest in Delhi's Jantar Mantar.

"I am happy with the judiciary's decision. The Delhi Police will investigate the allegations and I am ready to cooperate with them in every possible way. No one is bigger than the judiciary in this country. The order has come to file an FIR (first information report). The government had also said it had no objection to filing an FIR. I am not larger than the Supreme Court. I welcome the order," Mr Singh told reporters.

4ghgtu7o

Sports Minister Anurag Thakur had formed the committee to look into the allegations against the WFI and its chief. The committee, which was told to give a report to the Youth Affairs and Sports Ministry, had given it on April 5. But the ministry has not yet made public the findings of the six-member committee.

"I didn't raise any objection when the oversight committee was formed, didn't ask any question or put hurdles. I have followed the law. They (wrestlers) should have waited for the report. But they didn't. They went to the Supreme Court. I follow the law, but it seems they don't," Mr Singh told reporters today.

"I welcome every decision. The one taken by the government, the move to set up an oversight committee, and I welcome the latest decision (of the Supreme Court) because I have not done anything wrong against anyone," he said.

Despite the assurance of police action, the wrestlers said they will continue their sit-in protest demanding the "immediate arrest" of the WFI chief.

"We respect Supreme Court's order, but we don't have faith in Delhi Police. This fight is not for an FIR. This fight is to punish people like him. He needs to be in jail and stripped of his portfolios," the wrestlers said.

Historic! LSG Register Sensational Record With Massive Score Against PBKS

A display of brutal hitting from Kyle Mayers and Marcus Stoinis fired Lucknow Super Giants to 257 for five, the second highest total in IPL history, against a profligate Punjab Kings in the IPL on Friday. Mayers (54 off 24) went on the rampage in the Powerplay before Stoinis (72 off 40) effortlessly collected boundaries at will to help his team set a massive target. The other important contributions came from Ayush Badoni (43 off 24) and Nicholas Pooran (45 off 19). Back to lead Punjab after three games, Shikhar Dhawan opted to field but his bowlers were all over the place on a belter of a track. Barring Rahul Chahar, all the other six bowlers leaked more than 10 runs per over. The usually frugal Arshdeep Singh leaked 54 runs in four overs and Kagiso Rabada gave away 52 runs in four overs although he had two wickets to show for his efforts.

The total was also the highest of the season and six runs shy of 263, the highest ever total in IPL history achieved by RCB back in 2013 when Chris Gayle played his epic 175-run knock.

LSG skipper K L Rahul (12 off 9) was the only batter, who could not make use of ideal batting conditions. He was dropped on the first ball of the match off debutant Gurnoor Brar but could not make it count.

Mayers looked in menacing tough from the get go as he smashed Arshdeep for four boundaries in his opening over. He started with a gorgeous drive through point before using his long levers to target the long on and deep mid-wicket region, collecting seven fours and four sixes in total.

Such was his confidence and he took a couple of strides forward to dispatch Rabada just over his head.

After Mayers fell inside the Powerplay, Stoinis and Badoni shared an 89-run stand off only 47 balls to maintain the momentum created by Mayers.

Stoinis played some breathtaking strokes in his belligerent knock that included five sixes and half a dozen boundaries.

Stoinis could have been dismissed in the 13th over but Liam Livingstone touched the boundary while trying to take a regulation catch at long on.

Pooran began his innings with three back to back off drives off Livingstone. LSG hammered 73 runs off the last 30 balls.

Bravo Explains Why Dhoni Doesn't Promote Himself In Batting Order

Into his 16th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), MS Dhoni has looked far from finished. The wicket-keeper batter has not just led Chennai Super King (CSK) brilliantly but also produced cameos with the bat that left fans feeling nostalgic. Though Dhoni's cameos have been mesmerising, many fans and experts wonder what would it take for the 'Thala' to promote himself in the batting order for CSK this season. Dwayne Bravo, who has played with Dhoni in the Super Kings team for years, shed light on the matter, explaining why the skipper won't promote himself.

"That is the position he has to bat. Everyone is batting higher than him and he takes that responsibility and ownership upon himself to bat lower down the order because the likes of Jadeja, Rayudu, and Dube, he wants to give these guys as many opportunities as possible. He is happy to just play the finishing role," Bravo had said in a press conference.

Chennai sit top of the IPL 2023 standings with 5 wins in 7 matches. Rajasthan, on the other hand, are placed 3rd in the points table with 4 wins in 7 matches. Bravo is confident of the morale in the CSK dressing room and the team's ability to keep the momentum going.

"The CSK morale is very high, and that has nothing to do with the results. We are a team that is normally very level irrespective of whether we perform well or not.

"But it is always better when we are doing well. So far, we have started the season on a positive note and we just have to keep the momentum and keep winning cricket games. Tomorrow's game against RR is going to be a very hard game," he said.

Court Allows Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar To Buy Cake For Wife's Birthday

The Patiala House Court has permitted Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who is facing several cases of money laundering and extortion, to purchase cake/pastry from the bakery shop of the Mandoli prison and it is further directed that said cake/pastry be handed over to under trial prisoner (UTP) Leena Paulose, (wife of Sukesh) on her birthday which is on April 28, 2023.

The Additional Sessions Judge Shailender Malik in an order passed on April 25, stated that having considered the submissions the precise prayer appears to be more on human emotions than any legal aspect involved in the application.

Be that as it may, the UTP needs to be given the confidence to be emotionally connected and attached to his family members and relatives. Therefore, I find no bar, more specifically when the concerned UTP Sukesh Chandrashekhar is seeking to purchase cake/pastry from the bakery of Mandoli Jail itself out of his prisoner fund and it is not that some article is being taken out of jail to be given to any of the UTP.

Therefore, Superintendent is directed to permit accused Sukesh Chandrashekhar to purchase cake/pastry from the bakery shop of the prison and it is further directed that said cake/pastry be handed over to UTP Leena Paulose on 28.04.2023, said the Court.

Incarcerated Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar is a prime accused in the Rs 200 Crore money laundering case being investigated by Enforcement Directorate. He is facing several other cases too being investigated by ED, Delhi Police's Economic Offence Wing etc.

The ED's case is based on an FIR filed by Delhi Police's Economic Offences Wing (EOW) against Sukesh Chandrasekhar who is accused of cheating and extorting Japna Singh and Aditi Singh, wife of former promoter of Religare Enterprises, who are in Judicial custody related to alleged misappropriation of funds at Religare Finvest Ltd.

Both Chandrasekhar and his actor wife Leena Maria Paul were arrested by the Delhi Police for their alleged role in the duping case.

Bollywood actors Jacqueline Fernandez Nora Fatehi and other several names surfaced during the investigation of the Economic Offence Wing of the Delhi Police and Enforcement Directorate.

"Batter Who Can Play Baseball...": Harbhajan On Who's Missing In WTC Squad

Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh backed the selector's decision to recall veteran batter Ajinkya Rahane for the World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia. Rahane, a veteran of 82 Test matches, last played for India in the longest format of the game in January last year. Since then, he was not considered for selection owing to poor form. However, his form in the domestic circuit, as well as the ongoing IPL 2023, has earned him a recall into the Test side.

While pointing out the absence of Shreyas Iyer, who is out of action due to a back injury, Harbhajan suggested that the management didn't have any other option apart from Rahane.

"Ajinkya Rahane has been playing for India for a long time now and he has also captained the team. He is a very capable player with a great technique. I feel the decision has been taken keeping in mind his present form and hence has been recalled because Shreyas Iyer is still not part of the team. And with Iyer absent, it serves an opportunity to Rahane and it's a big match. He is a big player as well and I hope he gives that big performance to justify the selection. I support this selection 100 per cent and I feel it is a great decision. There was actually no other solution other than this," Harbhajan said on his YouTube channel.

However, Harbhajan felt that Suryakumar Yadav should've been part of the team, saying that the selector's should've picked an extra batter instead of going for three spinner.

"The one person who has missed this tour is Suryakumar Yadav. He should have been part of the team. Maybe instead of carrying three spinners, they could have carried an extra batter. Because you need that one batsman in the middle order who can destroy the opposition and only Suryakumar could have done that. He first got him into the Test team because he was in great form. Yes he has had a rough patch of 4-5 matches but if IPL is the criteria for selection for other players then even he should have been picked, even he has found that rhythm" he added.

To further back his claim, Harbhajan was of the opinion that Suryakumar will provide an x-factor with his attacking brand of cricket.

"When Gilchrist used to come in the middle for Australia, at No.6-7, he would destroy the bowlers. So you need a batter in the line-up who can play baseball cricket like Rishabh Pant. India will miss Suryakumar during this tour," Harbhajan signed off.

Couple Living Apart For 25 Years Seek Divorce. What Supreme Court Said

The Supreme Court has dissolved the marriage of a couple who have been staying separately for 25 years, saying recognising them as married would be "sanctioning cruelty". The couple only lived together for four years.

A bench of Justices Sudhanshu Dhulia and JB Pardiwala said the "complete severance of all meaningful ties and existing bitterness between the two" should be read as "cruelty" under the Hindu Marriage Act.

"We have before us a married couple who have been together as a couple for hardly four years and have been living separately for the last 25 years. They don't have children and their marital bond is completely broke, beyond repair," the Supreme Court said.

"We have no doubt that this relationship must end because its continuation would be to sanction cruelty. Prolonged separation, absence of cohabitation, complete severance of all meaningful ties and existing bitterness between the two should be read as cruelty under the Hindu Marriage Act," the Supreme Court said.

It said the ending of their marriage will affect only them since they have no children.

The man makes more than Rs 1 lakh a month and he has to pay Rs 30 lakh to the woman within four weeks, the Supreme Court said.

The couple got married in Delhi in 1994. He alleged she had an abortion the same year without telling him. He alleged she did not like their house as it was small.

Four years into the marriage, the woman left and filed a case of dowry harassment against him. The man and his brother were arrested and later released on bail. He filed for divorce after that.

The trial court allowed the divorce petition on the grounds of cruelty and long separation. But the Delhi High Court rejected the divorce request, after which the man challenged the high court's decision in the Supreme Court.

Hey Jr NTR, Guardians Of The Galaxy Director Wants To Work With You

Dear Jr NTR fans, we have some fantastic news in store for you. Guardians of the Galaxy  director James Gunn has revealed that he “would love to work” with the RRR actor and introduce him to the Marvel Universe. James Gunn, in an interaction with News18, said that Jr NTR is “so amazing” and “cool”. Referring to the Tiger sequence from the SS Rajamouli directorial, James Gunn said, “Who is the guy from RRR that's so good… What's his name? RRR, the big one from last year? With all the tigers coming out of the cage and everything? That guy." He added, “I would love to work with that guy someday. So amazing, so cool." Last year, James Gunn also gave his review after watching RRR. Replying to a tweet, he said, “I did. Totally dug it.”

On the kind of role he would like to offer Jr NTR, James Gunn added, “I don't know, I would have to figure that one out. That would take a little while."

James Gunn, who has directed all the films under the Guardians of the Galaxy series, also spoke about how the music element in his upcoming film Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 is “inspired by Bollywood films”. He said, “What I love about Indian cinema and Bollywood movies is they are all about art, and they are also all about entertainment. There are no rules about what a movie has to be, it could be a lot of different things and that's true about the Guardians movies. We have Indian cinemas as a part of who we are, we have Japanese cinema and Korean cinema, and Chinese cinema as a part of who we are. I think that a lot of American movies are just, their history is completely American films or American and European films making and I think it is always important for me to bring a world to you through the movies where we allow the movie to be something more different than we are used to with the regular kind of storytelling in the United States. So that musical element is definitely inspired by Bollywood films.”

Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 is the last instalment of the trilogy, which began in 2014. The film will release on May 5.
